Job Description

Job Objective

The Process Projects Graduate Engineer will provide day-to-day engineering and project support for Project Green. Working closely with project engineers, operations teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers, the graduate will assist in the delivery of project activities across design review, installation, commissioning, qualification, documentation, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support

  • Support the successful execution of project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with planning, tracking, and reporting project progress against schedule and key milestones.
  • Coordinate activities between contractors, vendors, and site stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain actions, minutes, and follow-up activities.

Design & Engineering

  • Support review of engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and design documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during project execution.
  • Ensure designs and installations comply with site standards and safety requirements.

Installation & Construction

  • Monitor installation activities on site and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors and construction teams to coordinate daily activities.
  • Support management of punch lists, snagging activities, and issue resolution.

Commissioning & Start-Up

  • Assist with commissioning and start-up activities for new equipment and systems.
  • Support execution of testing protocols and verification activities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and performance monitoring during project start-up.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain project documentation, records, and document control systems.
  • Support preparation and review of commissioning, validation, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Handover & Operational Readiness

  • Support development of operating procedures, training materials, and turnover packages.
  • Assist with project close-out and transition of systems to operations.
  • Ensure all required documentation is available for final handover.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong interest in project engineering and process systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous internship, or work placement experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or process industries.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, P&IDs, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments.
