Position Goal:

Responsible for maintaining bill of materials and shop floor routings from engineering documentation and shop floor requests, incorporating changes and new engineering designs into production contracts, creating and distributing drawing packages for production, and maintaining POU validation report.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Planning Change Requests (PCR), and Engineering Authorized Deviations (EAD).
  • Interpret engineering releases.
  • Create production routings with estimated labor times for fabricated parts, assemblies, and installations (as applicable).
  • Calculate raw material usage for new fabricated parts (where applicable).
  • Update production routings of component parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Communicates with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory control, purchasing and production control planning to ensure
  • implementation of engineering changes.
  • Provide new design and contract support. Completes required tasks for new contract readiness such as CFA level routings, bill split and reconciliation, structure kit routings and install hours reconciliation.
  • Attend virtual reviews as required.
  • Provide bid & sales release customer request (SRCR) labor estimates as requested.
  • Participate in SWAT meetings and action open SWAT issues as required.
  • Attend and participate in process improvement teams.
  • Assist in resolution of MRP processing errors.
  • Load and revise standard estimating data.
  • Create and distribute drawing packages for shop floor.
  • Conduct process observations (as assigned).
  • Complete identified process planning audit and output reports.
  • Complete and maintain manufacturing bill for 60’ sales releases.
  • Support manufacturing engineering and production engineering.
  • Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives as required.
  • Support other related process planning tasks as needed.

  • Print and distribute schematics.
  • Other related process planning duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education (Required Education Only)

  • Associate's degree in related field preferred.

Experience/Knowledge (Required Experience/Knowledge Only)

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Equipment/Machines Used

  • PC
  • Printers, including wide-format plotter
