PROCESS OPERATOR

Greenbushes Lithium Operation

Full-Time Permanent Position | 7:7 Roster

About the Role

Talison Lithium is seeking safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and positive individuals to join our Processing Team as a Process Operator. This is a permanent full-time position working a family-friendly roster consisting of 12-hour shifts.

Accommodation options may be available for suitable candidates. The successful applicant will receive extensive on-the-job training and development, making this an excellent opportunity to either begin a career in mineral processing or further develop existing operational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record plant operating parameters and processes
• Collect routine process samples
• Perform housekeeping and maintain high workplace standards
• Make operational adjustments to maintain product quality targets
• Conduct workplace inspections and safety checks
• Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise
• Follow site safety procedures and operational standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the processing plant

Shutdown Team Responsibilities

As part of the shutdown team, operators will also be responsible for:

• Integrating with on-shift operations crews to safely shut down the plant
• Cleaning and preparing equipment for maintenance activities
• Running out and isolating plant equipment
• Preparing and permitting plant areas for maintenance work
• Completing minor maintenance activities, including screen panel replacements
• Assisting with de-isolation and recommissioning of plant equipment following shutdowns

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A proactive, collaborative approach and strong commitment to safety
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive can-do attitude
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Demonstrated experience in process plant or mineral processing operations
• Knowledge and practical application of isolation procedures
• Experience working within permit-to-work systems, including issuing permits and/or working under permits
• Experience submitting notifications within maintenance or operational systems
• Working knowledge of SAP systems, including raising notifications, maintenance requests, or work orders
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to follow procedures and ensure compliance with site requirements
• A willingness to contribute positively to team culture

Desirable:

• Current C Class Driver's Licence
