This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $28.80 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Responsibilities:
Resin System: follow standard operating procedures for the operation of the System 1 and 2 resin reactors. Work includes,
but is not limited to the monitoring of feeders, process conditions and flow rates to ensure that formulation standards are being met.
Track: follow the standard operating procedures for the operation of raw material unloading systems. Work includes, but is not limited to: maintaining accurate records of raw materials; maintaining the supply of raw materials to the process; operating front-end loaders, trackmobile, and forklifts used to transport raw materials, rail cars, and trash removal; and following all labeling instructions on all raw material chemical bags to insure proper use of the chemicals in the designated areas.
Screens and Mills: follow the standard operating procedures for the granulation phase of the operation for the screening and milling equipment to ensure that product quality standards (particle size) are met. Work includes, but is not limited to, performing cleaning tasks to maintain the operation of the equipment and conveying systems.
Blending: follow the standard operating procedures for the operation of the blenders to ensure that product quality standards are met. Work includes, but is not limited to, the calibration of feeders, the monitoring of process conditions and flow rates, and the cleaning of the equipment.
Perform a variety of job tasks that support the operation of equipment and manufacturing of product. Tasks include, but are not limited to, reblending, PM activities, cleaning of equipment, collection of samples and data, maintains accurate records, and completing inspections and audits. Work may include the operation of power tools.
Follow all safety procedures and practices and use proper safety attire for each specific job assigned or area involved.
Perform safety inspections or checks. Actively participate in safety training and special projects.
Must actively maintain and improve housekeeping in the department and assigned area.
Use computer to operate production equipment and monitor operations for System 1, System 2, Blend Tower operation and Raw Materials.
Participate in the proper training of new personnel in all areas of the facility.
Completes special projects or other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Require strong problem solving and decision making skills
Strong communication both verbal and written
Must have good personal computers skills (Excel, Word, MSDS Center)
Must posses the aptitude to make sound judgments in regards to associate safety
Ability to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
Ability to operate forklift, end loader, and track mobile.
Ability to lift 70 pounds.
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, twist, climb and lift for the duration of the shift.
Follow all Safety Guidelines to ensure that all associates remain uninjured.
