• Is responsible for the routine and non-routine repair and maintenance of process equipment and systems.
• Has some basic mechanical aptitude to build on and an eagerness to expand their knowledge and to build skills in the repair and maintenance of process equipment and department systems in compliance with established Company standards. Process equipment and systems include but is not limited to receiving, sorting, conveying, pumping, weighing, peeling, scrubbing, blanching, cutting, drying, battering and frying.
• Prior experience with processing equipment, electrical troubleshooting, and welding is a definite advantage.
• Will develop the skills necessary to repair process equipment and perform maintenance activities that improves and sustains equipment reliability to maximize plant production and uptime.
• Must be able to work the scheduled days, shifts, times and overtime required for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; 6-month certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of one-year education and related experience and/or training preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write accurate information in English. Ability to effectively present or listen to information in one‑on‑one and small group situations with all other employees of the organization in English.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Develop the skills necessary to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
