Job Title: Process Mapping Specialist with TCS BaNCS & Custody Expertise
Reports to: SVP & Head of Fund Custody & Issuer Services, CIB Services

2. JOB PURPOSE
• Ensure that operational processes particularly those involving TCS BaNCS Custody & Securities modules are accurately mapped, optimized, and documented in line with governance and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with business units, control functions, technology teams, and custodianship functions to ensure all documentation is aligned with operational needs and risk management objectives.
• Process mapping and documentation initiatives that support digital transformation, system enhancements, and operational excellence across GCOO.

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Implement policies and procedures within the assigned area to ensure compliance and high‑quality service delivery.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for enhancing processes, documentation methods, and governance frameworks.
Reporting
• Prepare timely, accurate reports and MIS in line with FAB quality standards.
Strategy & Project Management
• Support operational and documentation‑related components of transformation programs, system enhancements, and governance initiatives.
5. JOB CONTEXT (Specific Accountabilities for This Role)
• Collaborate with business SMEs, FAB technologies and TCS Vendor team to build, validate, and document operational processes and SOPs for assigned business functions.
• Ensure TCS BaNCS system capabilities especially Custody/Securities modules [Trade Settlement, Corporate Action, Billing, EUR, Web Channel, MFA are adequately captured and translated into process flows and SOPs.
• Define system and process requirements, ensuring alignment with operational needs and regulatory obligations.
• During User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination for documentation‑driven system changes, ensuring test cases reflect process requirements are covered in SOPs.
• Support GPP in maintaining version control, document governance, and timely renewal of policies, SOPs, and manuals.
• Participate in the development of business cases, presentations, and structured documentation for review and governance boards.
• Assist in creating SLAs, KPIs, audit items, risk controls, and other performance metrics related to process documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of GPP frameworks, methodologies, and templates.
6. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
• Operates within the framework of Group policies, GCOO governance, and documentation standards.
• Authorized to take decisions aligned with the approved delegation matrix.
7. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum Experience
• 4–6 years of banking experience, including at least 2 years in process documentation, SOP development, repository management, or operational governance.
• Experience working on TCS custody or securities‑related operational processes preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent understanding of banking processes, preferably custody and securities operations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools and process‑mapping applications (Visio required).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet documentation deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and self‑motivation.
Specific Requirement – TCS BaNCS & Custody Expertise
• Hands‑on experience with TCS BaNCS (Custody/Securities modules).
• Strong understanding of:
Trade lifecycle & settlement workflows
Corporate actions processing
Reconciliations
SWIFT MT54x messaging standards
Account opening, safekeeping & asset servicing
• Ability to map and optimize custody‑related processes aligned with BaNCS functionality.
• Knowledge of operational risk controls and how they integrate into GPP governance.


Requirements


Contract Duration - 6 months
Experience - 3-6 Years of experience
Must have skills - Understanding of custody operation, trade settlement, corporate actions, trade lifecycle,recon, account opening.
4–6 years of banking experience, including at least 2 years in process documentation, SOP development, repository management, or operational governance.
TCS BANCS - Good to have
