Purpose and Scope:

This position is responsible for end-to-end design, standardization, and governance of enterprise-wide financial planning processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and data integrity across regions and functions.

It establishes and embeds driver-based planning frameworks, defines planning granularity, cycles, and methodologies, and drives stakeholder alignment to enable effective decision-making.

The role also acts as the data owner of FP&A governance and management accounting data, while continuously enhancing processes through adoption of new technologies (e.g., AI, automation) to improve efficiency and insight quality.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Global Process Standardization
  • Define and implement standardized financial planning processes across the enterprise, including planning cycles, timelines, and end-to-end workflows
  • Establish driver-based planning frameworks, including definition of key drivers, modelling logic, and scenario planning methodologies
  • Define required planning granularity (e.g., by cost object, activity, resource type) and ensure alignment across regions and functions
  • Standardize planning approaches across key domains (e.g., COGS, Payroll, G&A, CAPEX), ensuring consistency in assumptions and methodologies
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across FP&A, FBP, HR, DX, and business teams to ensure adoption of standardized processes
  • Collaborate with DX to translate planning requirements into system capabilities and enable automation of forecasting and scenario modelling
  • Continuously assess and refine planning processes to improve effectiveness, scalability, and user experience
  1. FP&A Governance & Management Accounting Control
  • Define and maintain enterprise-wide management accounting policies, frameworks, and manuals
  • Establish governance over planning and reporting processes, including financial calendars (management accounting, statutory alignment)
  • Act as data owner for management accounting within S4, BPC and related FP&A systems, ensuring clear definitions and ownership of master data
  • Define and enforce standards for master data (e.g., cost objects, hierarchies, drivers), including structure, definitions, and usage rules
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness across planning, reporting, and analytics processes
  • Establish controls and monitoring mechanisms to manage both qualitative and quantitative aspects of financial data (accuracy, consistency, completeness)
  • Partner with FBP, GBS, DX and system teams to ensure effective execution and compliance with governance frameworks
  1. Process Innovation & Technology Enablement
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, advanced analytics, automation) applicable to FP&A processes
  • Lead the integration of new technologies into planning and management accounting processes to improve efficiency and insight generation
  • Drive automation of forecasting, scenario modelling, and reporting processes through collaboration with DX and system teams
  • Develop and promote advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modelling and driver-based insights
  • Define future-state process designs incorporating digital and AI capabilities, ensuring scalability and sustainability
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within FP&A processes and governance
  1. Cross-functional Leadership & Transformation Support
  • Act as a central point of coordination between FP&A COE, FBP, GBS, DX, and business stakeholders
  • Drive alignment between global standards and local execution, ensuring practical applicability of frameworks
  • Support enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives, including system implementations and process redesign
  • Provide subject matter expertise in planning, management accounting, and process governance to senior stakeholders
  • Facilitate decision-making by ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment of planning and reporting processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with strong exposure to planning process design and standardization
  • Solid experience in driver-based planning, scenario modelling, and financial forecasting methodologies
  • Proven ability to design and implement standardized processes across multiple functions (e.g., COGS, Payroll, CAPEX)
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles, including governance frameworks such as financial calendars, policies/manuals, and master data management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, HR and DX
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to driving process improvements
  • Project management capabilities with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and deliver outcomes in a global environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA
  • Experience leading global process transformation or standardization initiatives in a multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end financial planning and management accounting processes across multiple domains (e.g., COGS, Payroll, CAPEX)
  • Familiarity with FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan, BPC) to effectively collaborate on system enablement (non-technical ownership)
  • Demonstrated experience in governance framework design, including policies, calendars, and master data management
  • Experience working in cross-functional and cross-regional teams, with exposure to large-scale transformation programs
