Job Description

Position Mission

The role of the Process Improvement Engineer is to develop and maintain sustainable processes throughout the supply chain by leveraging best practices of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and ISO 9001 principles.

  • Compliance Metrics

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver ISO 9001 compliant Internal Auditor training
  • Establish and refine quality-related policy, work instructions and other documentation
  • Perform root cause analysis: analyze processes, data, and systems – identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations based on results of analysis.
  • Develop and maintain work plans, time schedules, project task lists, and status reports.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to other project team members.
  • Successfully deploy and support change management and appropriate training plans.
  • Supports the summary and delivery of findings, recommendations, and action plans
  • Work with warehouse and production personnel to perform and document risk analysis.
  • Identify opportunity for and lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate the successful accomplishment of key quality initiatives. Ensure effective communication with all internal stakeholders throughout the project.

Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or other related technical field, or equivalent years of related experience
  • Six Sigma Certification (Lean, DMAIC, DFSS) preferred
  • Ability to apply statistical analysis to complex supply chain problems
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • Strong desire and drive to be a change agent and interpersonal skills necessary to influence change
  • Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point), or other technical tools such as project management software in completing assignments. May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position. Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments.
  • Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those regarding knowledge of decisions/actions/problems. Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization. Able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
  • Work performed in a typical office environment

Travels up to 10% of the time.
