YesLeads and defines the strategy for performance improvement, including a focus on innovation, process transformation, and process controls systems. Responsibilities includes the implementation, development, expansion, resource management and oversight of projects which redesign or create new processes aimed to improve the operations and improve patient and staff satisfaction and safety. Develops and manages projects directly with clinical and administrative staff. Oversees major projects related to innovation and process improvement and optimization. Provides leadership to cross-functional teams and project leadership on system-wide projects.

Job Duties:

  • Provides subject matter expertise and collaborates with leadership to develop division and departmental strategies related to innovation, analytics, transformation, and projects.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements, proposes effective and efficient solutions.
  • Directs implementation of improved processes, and provides process sustainability plans.
  • Ensures smooth hand-off of improvements to process owners.
  • Facilitates the development of appropriate policies and procedures required to support and sustain the improved process operations.
  • Develops key performance indicators, provides real-time metrics and aligns operational behavior with strategic objectives to help managers move from reactive to pro-active management Consistently achieves project outcomes at target goals with hardwired redesign of clinical and operational workflows and processes.
  • Leads team planning including requirements gathering, process design, program communication, process configuration, pilot testing, deployment, and, risk and issue management includes change management as part of the planning and execution process.
  • Manages the work to meet project milestones through task management, consistent follow through, directing and mentoring other team members, supporting the project team, progress tracking and reporting, and creative organizational problem solving.
  • Ensures strong relationships with all stakeholders and end users.
  • Assesses the local stakeholder environment and manages relationships among line staff, department managers, vice presidents, clinicians, clinical leaders and other system leaders as required.
  • Facilitates and trains interdisciplinary committees and can support managers and accountable leaders in running interdisciplinary committees.
  • Uses analytic and subjective assessment skills to identify substantial performance improvement opportunities for important clinical, operational or financial Issues.
  • Facilitates data-driven decision making with the operations team..
  • Coordinates and oversees the case scheduling activities in the surgical suite across the system.
  • Responsible for the development of system-wide scheduling policies and supervision of scheduling team leaders.
  • Oversees the post-op documentation process to ensure an accurate and efficient turnover of charges.
