
The Process Governance & Assurance Manager supports the effective operation, coordination and continual improvement of Hill’s business governance, assurance and operational control activities.
The role is responsible for maintaining and improving operational processes, procedures, controls and governance documentation to ensure they remain effective, consistent and aligned to the Project Governance Framework (PGF) and wider business requirements.
Working across operational and enabling functions, the role supports process standardisation, operational assurance, audit readiness and continual improvement activities, helping ensure governance and business controls remain effective before, during and after digital and organisational change.
The role also supports the delivery of internal audit and assurance activities, coordination of external certification assessments, and the ongoing operation of Hill’s business systems and governance framework.
General Responsibilities
· Support the continual improvement of Hill’s business systems, governance arrangements and operational control activities
· Coordinate structured reviews of business processes, procedures, forms and operational controls to support consistency and effective governance
· Support process standardisation and simplification initiatives across operational and enabling functions
· Ensure governance documentation and operational controls remain aligned to the PGF and wider business requirements
· Support operational readiness activities during governance, process and digital change initiatives
· Coordinate governance and assurance activities across operational and support functions
· Support communication and awareness of governance processes, standards and assurance requirements across the business
· Deliver training and guidance relating to governance processes, operational controls and assurance activities
· Support mobilisation, change control and compliance review activities where required
· Produce operational assurance, audit and performance reporting for senior leadership
· Support pre-qualification, client and regulatory submissions requiring governance or assurance information
· Work collaboratively with operational, digital and enabling functions to support sustainable business improvement
· Promote a culture of operational discipline, accountability and continual improvement across the organisation
Technical duties
· Coordinate and maintain governance documentation, review, approval and publication processes
· Support maintenance and continual improvement of Hill’s business systems and operational governance framework
· Coordinate operational audits, assurance reviews and external certification activities
· Support delivery of the internal audit and assurance programme under the direction of the Senior Business Systems & Improvement Manager
· Monitor audit findings, non-conformances and improvement actions to support continual improvement
· Coordinate management review activities, including reporting on performance, governance effectiveness and improvement actions
· Support operational governance and assurance activities during implementation of new digital systems and workflows
· Liaise with process owners to ensure operational controls and procedures remain practical, effective and consistently applied
· Support governance and assurance reviews relating to supply chain and operational delivery activities where required
· Support compliance activities relating to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001 standards Support external audits and certification activities, including coordination of evidence, planning and follow-up actions
· Maintain governance registers, assurance records and operational control documentation
· Support investigation, root cause analysis and close-out of governance and assurance issues where required
