About the Role:
The Process Expert – Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation & Condition Contracts and Settlement Management is responsible for providing deep process, technical, and business expertise across global Invoice-to-Cash operations. The role drives global process standardization, governance, continuous improvement, transition readiness, and transformation across Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation, and Condition Contracts & Settlement Management. The position acts as a key interface between global process ownership and service delivery teams, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, consistent global process design, and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture. The role also drives automation, RPA, AI-enabled solutions, and readiness for major finance transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA transitions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Service Delivery Unit through in depth process, technical & business knowledge
• Support transition of new service scope to the service delivery units by ensuring adherence to global standard operating procedures & tools and support with required change management.
• Designs, steers, and continuously improve global Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation and Condition Contracts & Settlement Management processes, ensuring end to end consistency and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture.
• Owns and steers the global Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation and Condition Contracts & Settlement Management service product portfolio, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and global service definitions to safeguard operational excellence.
• Embeds and drives automation, RPA, and AI driven solutions into processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.
• Ensures process readiness and integration for major transformation programs and system transitions (e.g. SAP S/4).
Education:
• University degree in accounting or business administration
• Preferably Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant (relevant in India? Input from HR needed on market standard)
Working Experience:
• More than 5 years’ experience working in Finance, with at least 2 years in Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation and Condition Contracts & Settlement Management
• Project management for finance processes is an advantage
Technical Skills:
• In‐depth knowledge and understanding of SAP FI (R3 and/or S/4)
• Strong knowledge in Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Reconciliation and Condition Contracts & Settlement Management processes
• Experience in global shared services transition or consolidation
• Strong stakeholder influencing and decision-making capability
• Knowledge and experience of MS office tools.
