The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Business Improvement, the Process Excellence Lead helps ElectraNet improve how work gets done by designing simpler, more efficient and customer‑focused end‑to‑end processes.

Working closely with leaders and cross‑functional teams, the role applies lean thinking, service design and data‑driven analysis to understand current‑state processes, identify inefficiencies and design practical, sustainable improvements.

This is a hands‑on process design role. The Process Excellence Lead focuses on doing the deep process work — translating business needs into tangible artefacts and supporting teams to implement improved ways of working.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Mapping complex end‑to‑end processes using customer journey mapping, service blueprinting and value stream mapping
• Designing future‑state processes that improve flow, reduce waste and enhance customer and employee experience
• Analysing cycle times, hand‑offs, pain points and inefficiencies using qualitative and quantitative data
• Translating insights into clear artefacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, process documentation and requirements
• Facilitating workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders and co‑design solutions
• Measuring success through improved flow, simplified processes and measurable operational outcomes

About You

This role suits a process specialist who enjoys getting into the detail and improving how work actually gets done.

You may come from a background such as business analysis, process excellence, lean operations, service design or operational transformation, and have demonstrated experience designing and improving complex processes across multiple stakeholder groups.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong experience in customer journey mapping and /or service blueprinting, including personas and multiple perspectives (e.g. customer, employee, technology, leaders)
• Is comfortable working with complex, cross‑functional processes and identifying waste, hand‑offs and bottlenecks
• Applies lean principles pragmatically to improve flow and efficiency
• Is curious, patient and resilient, and consistently challenges legacy ways of working to rethink processes
• Can facilitate sessions and influence stakeholders to think differently about processes
• Enjoys translating ambiguity into clear, usable artefacts
