The process engineer supports and teaches the implementation of the Integrated Lean 6 sigma journey through the identification of competences to be transferred to the core (production) team. The process engineer masters continuous improvement tools, leads and/or contributes to projects that reduce plant losses.
SAFETY AND QUALITY ACTIVITIES
A Process Engineer will have to perform the following activities:
Knows and ensures the application of Safety and Quality standards and procedures, specifically:
a) LOTO (= lockout)
b) GMP (= standards for good production)
c) Food Hygiene and Safety Standards (CCP and SPP related to the work area).
It uses and promotes prevention tools for Safety and Quality, specifically:
a) Safety Near Miss
b) Quality Near Miss
c) BOS (= Behaviour Observation System)
d) Safety Risk Analysis (QRP)
e) Quality Risk Analysis (QA Matrix).
Has basic statistical knowledge for process control
Ensures that standard product parameters are maintained.
Complies with, promotes and ensures all quality, safety and environmental standards in compliance with company and industry regulations and procedures.
ACTIVITIES FOR LEAN 6 SIGMA JOURNEY:
- Supports Line Leader/Section Manager in developing a loss eradication culture within the core team, starting with building the loss analysis.
-Participates in DMS meetings: contributes to data collection and root cause analysis (RCA) to develop a system for loss prevention and elimination.
- Leads continuous improvement activities on the line/section to which he/she belongs and masters the tools and work processes of the IL6S journey.
- Builds core team competencies for the IL6S journey tools, supports team involvement with passion and energy

Preferred Education & languages:
- Degree in engineering (food engineering, mechanical, chemical or electrical)
