Position - Process Excellence Champion

Education – B.E / B.Tech – Chemical Engineering or related discipline preferred from TIER 1 Engineering College

Experience – Minimum 2-3 years with Pharma Industry, desired.

Co-Lead Process Excellence Activities

• Develop process models for all current and upcoming products at site using Intelligen SuperPro & SchedulePro software
• Improve process flow through:
  • De-bottlenecking
  • Cycle time reduction
  • Constraint analysis of resources and equipment
• Develop Digital Twin models (using gPROMS, etc.) for critical manufacturing steps
• Drive sustainability and build capabilities on relevant tools/software like SuperPro & SchedulePro (for process modelling and simulation), gPROMS (for Digital Twin), etc. as per requirement
• Support and actively participate in Business Process of the Future and Factory of the Future Design Sprints as per established roadmap

Project Leadership and Execution

• Lead cross-functional project teams in the planning, design and execution of key manufacturing projects, including process improvement initiatives, NPI (New Product Introduction), and site expansion; partner with site engineering in the execution of capital projects
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by actively managing project timelines, resources, budget and risk
• Develop detailed project plans, including clear milestones, timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
• Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring proper resource allocation, quality control and adherence to regulatory requirements

Interaction

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Extensive shop floor interaction required to understand the manufacturing processes for modelling, simulation and digital twins

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Align initiatives and integrate with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Use a data-driven approach to improve compliance profile and integrate safety into process improvement

Key Deliverables

• Process Flow Diagram / Model for all current and upcoming products at Vashi Site
• SuperPro & SchedulePro Simulation Models
• SchedulePro Analysis (batch scheduling, equipment utilization, resource allocation)
• Bottleneck and Cycle Time Analysis
• Scenario Comparison (current vs. optimized)
• Improvement Recommendations
• Digital Twin models for critical manufacturing steps using gPROMS
• Digital roadmap for BE Function

Expected Skills:

• Basic understanding of chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and fundamentals of chemical engineering
• Ability to analyze process flow, cycle time, and resource utilization
• Familiarity or willingness to quickly learn and apply process simulation tools like SuperPro and SchedulePro
• Familiarity or willingness to quickly learn and apply gPROMS for Digital Twin
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation
