Job Description

Role Purpose

The Process Engineering Manager will be a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of process engineering within our organization. This position plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Engineering Manager will lead a team of skilled engineers to design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest level of productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, enhance product development, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of process supervisors & engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Kaizen events, and other process improvement tools to streamline operations and drive performance excellence.
  • New Process Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies and best practices.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, seeking innovative ways to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements, striving for zero defects.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in manufacturing processes, implementing preventive measures to mitigate operational disruptions.
  • Project Management: Lead process engineering projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including R&D, production, maintenance, and supply chain teams, to foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering field (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field)
  • Proficient in English
  • Proven experience in process engineering, with experience in a managerial or leadership roles.
  • Lead or participate in engineering strategy creating process
  • Strong background in process optimization, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Industry 4.0: ML / AI + DA softwares understanding / usage (Nice to have)
  • External recognition such as Green/Yellow/ Black Belt, Lean, PMI, professional engineering or committee member of a technical society
  • Experience in managing strategy, projects, capital, and the innovation process
