【このポジションはどんな仕事？】

本ポジションは、射出成形工程における生産技術領域の責任者（Engineering Manager）として、工程設計・設備投資・量産安定化までを統括する“工場の中核ポジション”です。

単なる技術者ではなく、

• 工程設計の標準化
• 設備投資の意思決定
• 生産性・品質の改善
• チームマネジメント

を担い、工場の競争力そのものを作る役割です。

また、国内外の拠点やサプライヤーと連携しながら、グローバル基準での製造体制を構築・維持します。

【主な業務内容】

◎ 成形工程の統括・マネジメント

• 射出成形工程における技術全体の責任
• 成形チーム（工場／生産／工業化）のマネジメント
• 工程能力・生産性・品質の改善推進

◎ 工程設計・標準化

• 工程設計、設備仕様、レイアウトの定義
• グローバルガイドラインに基づく標準化の推進
• 工程専門知識の蓄積・展開

◎ 工業化・設備投資管理

• 新規立ち上げ（工業化プログラム）の統括
• 設備投資計画の策定・管理
• 設備パフォーマンスの評価および改善計画の実行

◎ クロスファンクショナル連携

• サイト／グローバル拠点／技術センターとの連携
• サプライヤー（国内・中国・韓国）との技術連携
• 各種技術レビュー、委員会への参加（TC／プロジェクトレビュー等）

◎ 品質・生産管理

• 生産KPI（納期・品質・コスト・設備稼働率）の管理
• 工程トラブル時の対応および他拠点支援
• 標準化プログラムの推進

◎ 安全管理

• 担当領域における安全管理責任
• 安全KPIのモニタリングおよび改善活動の推進

Valeo Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of Valeo Group, a global automotive supplier headquartered in France.

The company holds leading global market shares in areas such as electrification, ADAS, and thermal management, and operates multiple development and manufacturing sites across Japan.

This position is based at the Konan Plant in Kumagaya, Saitama, and plays a central role in supporting mass production operations.

【Division & Business Scope】

Valeo Japan is composed of four main divisions:

１）　Power Division

Designs, develops, and manufactures products and solutions related to thermal management, comfort systems, and electrified powertrain technologies to accelerate electrification.

２）　Brain Division

Focuses on products and solutions for accelerating ADAS and reinventing the in-vehicle experience.

３）　Light Division

Develops and manufactures lighting solutions under the concept of “Lighting Everywhere.”

４）　Valeo Service Division

Provides aftermarket services for all products across Divisions 1～3.

This position belongs to the Power Division.

【About the Role】

This position is an Engineering Manager responsible for the production engineering of injection molding processes. It is a core leadership role within the plant, overseeing everything from process design and capital investment to mass production stabilization.

This is not just a technical role. You will be responsible for:

・Standardization of manufacturing processes

・Decision-making on capital investments

・Improvement of productivity and quality

・Team management

You will play a key role in building the plant’s overall competitiveness while collaborating with global sites and suppliers to maintain and develop manufacturing systems aligned with global standards.

【Key Responsibilities】

◎Production Engineering Management

• Overall responsibility for injection molding processes
• Management of molding-related teams (plant / production / industrialization)
• Driving improvements in process capability, productivity, and quality

◎Process Design & Standardization

• Define process design, equipment specifications, and layout
• Promote standardization based on global guidelines
• Develop and share technical expertise

◎Industrialization & Investment Management

• Lead new product industrialization programs
• Plan and manage capital investments
• Evaluate equipment performance and implement improvement plans

◎Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with site teams, global sites, and technical centers
• Collaborate with suppliers (Japan, China, Korea)
• Coordinate with internal departments (Quality, Purchasing, Production Control, R&D, etc.)
• Participate in technical reviews and committees

◎Quality & Production Management

• Manage production KPIs (delivery, quality, cost, equipment efficiency)
• Handle process issues and support other sites when needed
• Promote standardization programs

◎Safety Management

• Ensure safety responsibility within the scope
• Monitor safety KPIs and drive improvement initiatives

Requirements (MUST)

• Hands-on experience in injection molding technology or mold (tooling) technology
• (Experience in the automotive industry is a plus)
• Experience in production engineering and/or process design within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in team management or leadership roles
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese or English
• (※English skills are highly valued for global collaboration)

Preferred Qualifications (WANT)

• Experience in the automotive parts industry
• Experience in industrialization (mass production launch projects)
• Experience in capital investment planning and equipment introduction
• Experience working with overseas sites and suppliers
• Experience working in a multinational / cross-cultural environment

Additional Note (Important)

While experience in molding or mold technology is an important factor, candidates who demonstrate outstanding management and problem-solving capabilities, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, may still be considered even if they do not fully meet this requirement.
