To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Process Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Process Engineer (Metal Stamping) leads continuous improvement initiatives in stamping processes, die qualification, and new product transfers, ensuring compliance with quality and production objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
· Participate in daily NPI and Mass Production activities.
· Support the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
· Develop, apply, and own process control methodologies.
· Troubleshoot process-related issues.
· Participate in activities related to cycle time and process improvements.
· Apply statistical process analysis to new and existing products.
· Apply safety, productivity, and yield improvements.
· Continuously develop manufacturing techniques that improve internal capabilities and performance.
· Develop and maintain process documentation.
· Interface with production on all activities associated with the implementation and transfer of new processes.
· Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during the transfer of new products and sustaining products.
· Drive cost reduction and improvement programs.
· Direct customer contact.
· Fixture and poka-yoke design.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
· Previous experience in similar positions (metal-mechanical industry).
· Knowledge of metrology.
· PLC programming.
· Fanuc robot programming.
· Knowledge of automation (sensors).
· Knowledge of stamping processes (progressive dies and transfer dies).
· Conversational and technical English.
· Experience in NPI or transfer die qualification.
· Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification is a plus.
· Knowledge of Minitab is a plus.
· PPAP process knowledge is a plus.
· SolidWorks proficiency.
