Job Description

Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

  • Maintain, update, revise ODS (Operational Documentation Set) to instruct Operator according to standards defined in ODS which complies with P-FMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), CP (Control Plan)
  • Update, maintain P-FMEA of the own process (ask advice to a senior engineer if meet difficulty).
  • Implement changes and improvement based on the existing process/ MAE (Machine and Equipment) / parts (with or without ECR (Engineering Change Request) for Cycle time, quality, safety, cost).
  • Execute and follow up tasks/ projects (FAT - Factory Acceptance Test, SAT - Site Acceptance Test) under other’s instruction and management.
  • Handle internal customers complain about quality (from MFOx - Manufacturing Operations)
  • Optimize the existing MAE to adapt/improve safety for operation
  • Solve problem of product quality with existing tool and known reaction-plan. A small change can be made.
  • Maintain process capacity (CT - Cycle time, Reject rate) in response to current target (TAC) with defined method.
  • Share practical experience to colleagues.
  • Use existing documents and procedure to cooperate with TEF3 (Technical Function) colleagues to solve the MAE’s issue.
  • Understand status of Cpk (Process Capability Index) of characteristics of the own process (if applicable).
  • Comprehend and maintain the existing SPC (statistical process control) system in plant (HcP). Apply SPC in accordance with Work Instruction (WI). Able to explain a SPC report or chart (if applicable).

Qualifications

1. Education

  • Engineer/Bachelor in Material/Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronic

2. Work experience

  • At least 1 year in manufacturing as a Process Engineer is plus
  • Basic knowledge about process control such as PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC/CPK
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving is preferred
