Transforming Waste into Value

At Kanadevia Inova, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. We are not just waste managers; we are creators of value from what communities discard. Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

As a Process Engineer you’re responsible for the process specifications for a range of different technologies in flue gas treatment and balance of the plant, including the preparation of equipment design, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), engineering lists and functional descriptions for programming the control systems. Your role is to support the project team throughout the design, procurement and commissioning process, including on-site presence (travel may account for approximately 10% of your job), and to act as the point of contact for all process related matters for the Energy from Waste plant. You are involved from the proposal stage through to handover, providing your expertise:

  • Contact person in the project team, at meetings with third parties in all process issues
  • Cooperation in process engineering risk analyses (e.g. Hazardous operation study)
  • Process engineering review during commissioning and trial operation
  • Ensures that the implementation of process engineering in the project is in accordance with the basic concept, HZI policies and guidelines.
  • Checking of planning with regard to the fulfilment of process engineering requirements and, if necessary, initiation of modification measures
  • Maintenance of the standards (e.g. P&ID, engineering lists, copy templates)
  • Compliance with the HZI working methodology and guidelines (e.g. Comos guidelines)
  • Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to the function, implements and complies with them

Qualifications

  • Independent and detail-oriented with a passion for learning and discovering new technologies.
  • Degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering (Bachelor/Master, FH/TH).
  • Experience in a similar role with knowledge of process engineering and plant automation.
  • Skilled in CAE and engineering tools (e.g., Comos).
  • Experience in flue gas treatment or Balance of Plant is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; German and/or other language is an advantage.
