Introduction to the job

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.

Role and responsibilities

As a Process Engineer for cleaning technology, you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future‑ready manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include:

• Process ownership: Independently manage assigned cleaning processes (e.g. wet or blasting cleaning); take over additional processes with support from senior engineers or line management.

• Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g. SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time.

• Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes in line with TGP.

• Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans for cleaning processes (excluding operational maintenance activities).

• Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams as a certified trainer.

• NPI & technologies: Adapt existing cleaning processes, introduce new cleaning technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp‑up projects.

• Risk, decisions & collaboration:Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment selection and procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T.

Education and experience

• You hold a degree in a technicalornaturalsciencefield

• You bring relevant professional experience in a production and technicalenvironment, enablingyou to independently manage processes and support ramp‑up projects.

• Youtakeshared responsibility for process execution on semi‑ to fully automated cleaning systems for wet and blasting cleaning processes.

• Youcontribute to technical data management, particularly at the interfaceswith IT and the MES system, focusing on equipmentintegration (e.g. OPC UA), aswellas data processing within internal databasesystems and theirevaluationusingestablishedmethods (e.g. SPC) and tools (e.g. qs‑stat, Power BI).

• In addition, youmaytake on tasks related to technicaldrawing and tooling, includingdrawingmaintenance, coordination of tool design withengineering, procurement of spare parts, and execution of toolmaintenanceactivities

• Youhaveappliedmethods such as Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and continuousimprovement (CIP/KVP) in practice

• You bring experience in creatingmanufacturingdocumentation and decision templates

• Youhavehands-on experience in equipmentprocurement, optimization projects, and definingmanufacturingrequirements (e.g. specifications).

• Youareconfident in handlingescalationmanagement and riskanalysis (e.g. FMEA).

• Youarefluent in German and English , bothwritten and spoken, enablingeffectivecollaborationwith international interfaces and D&E teams.

An unserem Standort in Berlin fertigen unsere Mitarbeitendenden Schlüsselkomponenten für die ASML Lithografiesysteme. Als Teil unserer Präzisionsfertigung unterstützt du bei der Produktion optischer Komponenten, Baugruppen sowie Systeme aus Glas, Glaskeramik und Keramik für unsere High-Tech-Kleinserien, Einzelteil- und Prototypenfertigung.

Deine Aufgaben

Als Prozessingenieur:in für Reinigungstechnologie bist du ein zentraler Erfolgsfaktor für stabile, effiziente und zukunftsfähige Fertigungsprozesse. Dein Aufgabenbereich umfasst:

• Prozessverantwortung: Eigenständige Betreuung zugewiesener Reinigungsprozesse (z. B. Nass- oder Strahlreinigung); Übernahme weiterer Prozesse in enger Zusammenarbeit mit erfahrenen Prozessingenieur:innen oder der Linienführung.

• Monitoring & Optimierung: Anwendung von Lean- und Six-Sigma-Methoden (z. B. SPC) zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung von Yield, Kosten und Durchlaufzeit.

• Umsetzung von Verbesserungen: Eigenständige Umsetzung einfacher Prozessoptimierungen sowie Unterstützung bei komplexeren Änderungen im Einklang mit den TGP-Vorgaben.

• Verfügbarkeit & Wartung: Sicherstellung der Prozessverfügbarkeit sowie Definition von Wartungskonzepten und -plänen für Reinigungsprozesse (ohne operative Instandhaltungstätigkeiten).

• Dokumentation & Training: Erstellung und Pflege von Fertigungsdokumenten (z. B. AAWs, REZ, Arbeitsanweisungen) sowie Schulung der Fertigungsteams als Trainer:in

• NPI & Technologien: Anpassung bestehender Reinigungsprozesse, Einführung neuer Reinigungstechnologien sowie Mitwirkung bei NPI-, PCCSIM- und Ramp-up-Projekten.

• Risiko, Entscheidungen & Zusammenarbeit: Mitwirkung bei FMEAs und ECRs, Unterstützung bei der Auswahl und Beschaffung von Anlagen sowie enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fertigung, Engineering, D&E und R&T.

Deine Qualifikationen

• Du hast ein abgeschlossenes naturwissenschaftliches oder technisches Studium.

• Du verfügst über einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Produktions‑ und technischen Umfeld, die dich befähigt, Prozesse eigenständig zu betreuen und Ramp‑Up‑Projekte zu unterstützen.

• Mitverantwortlich für Prozessführung auf teil- bis vollautomatischen Reinigungsanlagen für Nass- und Strahlreinigungsprozesse

• Übernahme von Aufgaben beim technischen Datenmanagement, insbesondere an den Schnittstellen zu IT und dem MES-System im Hinblick auf Anlagenintegration (z.B. OPCUA) sowie die Datenweiterverarbeitung in den internen Datenbanksystemen und deren Auswertung mit einschlägigen Methoden (z.B. SPC)und Softwaresystemen (z.B. qs-stat,PowerBI)

• Zusatz:Übernahme von Aufgaben beim technischen Zeichnungsmanagement/Konstruktion wie Zeichnungspflege, Abstimmungen bei Toolkonstruktionen mit der Konstruktionsabteilung, Beschaffung von Ersatzteilen, Durchführung von Tool-Wartungen

• Du hast Methoden wie Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA und KVP bereits in der Praxis angewendet.

• Du bringst Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Fertigungsdokumenten und Entscheidungsvorlagen mit.

• Du hast praktische Erfahrung in der Anlagenbeschaffung oder in Optimierungsprojekten sowie in der Erstellung von Lastenheften.

• Du bist sicher im Umgang mit Eskalationsmanagement und Risikoanalysen (z. B. FMEA).

• Du beherrschst Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher zur Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Schnittstellen und D&E‑Teams
