Why Join Us & What We Offer

At Imerys Denmark, we offer a dynamic key role where you will directly influence our operational success, sustainability goals, and workplace culture. As a core member of our Local Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Site Manager Denmark, you will play a pivotal role in driving high-impact technical innovation and continuous improvement across our production sites on Fur and Mors.

We offer a high-trust, collaborative environment with extensive opportunities for personal and professional growth. We are committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources needed to succeed and grow in their careers.

About the Role

This dual-purpose key position combines process engineering and operational excellence (I-Cube Program). You will be the primary technical authority for process optimization, energy efficiency (ISO 50001 / CO2 reduction), and yield improvement, while simultaneously empowering our workforce through continuous improvement tools, training, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization & Yield: Lead technical initiatives for Kiln and Packaging areas; optimize mass/energy balances and lead industrial trials.

  • Continuous Improvement (I-Cube): Coordinate and sustain the I-Cube OpEx program across Mors and Fur, driving 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and cost-saving projects.

  • EHS & Sustainability: Actively promote a safe working culture and lead energy efficiency and emissions reduction programs.

  • Empowerment & Culture: Develop SOPs, coach shop-floor teams, and foster a strong culture of continuous improvement ("Skill and Will").

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: MSc degree in Process, Industrial, Chemical, or Mining Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Experience: 3+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment (promising junior candidates with exceptional technical and soft skills will also be considered).

  • Skills: Strong expertise in mass/energy balances, mineral/chemical processing, and Lean/CI tools (Kaizen, Six Sigma, VSM). Green Belt certification is a plus.

  • Languages: Fluent professional proficiency in both Danish and English is mandatory.

  • Mindset: A collaborative, hands-on change agent who thrives on the shop floor and leads by inspiring others.
