Process Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Assist and advise Factory Manager in driving operational and Plant KPI
• Continuous Improvement Champion for the plant
• Drive process and project improvement relating to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
• Lead Fund to Growth (Cost Saving initiatives) for the plant
• Initiate and implement new solutions for process efficiency
• Lead the production and process for new product introduction
• Collaboration with production SPV to managing production in optimum ways
• Lead and manage all Continuous Improvement and 6S initiatives / projects.

Key Task

• Part of a team driven to identify, develop and deliver innovative solutions, driven to constantly improve production and process efficiency and capability while maintaining and improving product quality standards
• Working closely with other specialists, including, formula support group, R&D chemists responsible for the quality control of raw materials, intermediates and finished products; operators responsible for paint production and plant maintenance.
• Initiate & support on any process related or continuous improvement action implementation and execution via structured methodology.
• Form part of the task force team to investigate, analyze and determine root cause for each batch reject; production or process quality related complaints from customers and to establish corrective and preventive actions.

• Improve batch cycle time through process improvements
• First Time Right Justified Complaints (Production/Quality Control)
• Process Adherence/production adherence
• Reject/drum out batch

Minimum Education requirements

• Degree holder preferably in chemical engineering or chemistry or industrial engineering
• Min 3 to 5 years of experience
• Chemical or paint processing experience preferred
• Read, write and speak good local language
• Read, write and speak simple English
• Computer literate
• Preferable understood pint and coating industry
