Michelin Waterville is located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, known for its many farms and vineyards, and home to some of Canada’s oldest historical sites. This facility produces tires for transport trucks, off-road, and construction vehicles for the North America market.

The opportunity

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for leading and handling optimization of their designated manufacturing process within our facility.  Michelin’s purpose is to support everyone’s right to move freely to find their better way forward.  Our consistent high quality contributes to vehicle safety, cost of ownership, tire performance, and a reduction in Greenhouse Emissions.  Entry level training is provided by Michelin and will include formal classes and on-the-job mentoring under an experienced area expert.

What you will do:

  • taking part in quality planning for products, materials, processes and methods;
  • establishing and implementing quality standards and ensuring compliance;
  • defining and implementing corrective and preventative action plans for improvement;
  • designing and carrying out tests to evaluate changes with raw materials, equipment, automation and/or overall process;
  • participating in quality planning, including feasibility studies;
  • participating in product start-ups and evolutions;
  • participating in projects and teams to resolve quality issues;
  • acting as a liaison between local and global customers to resolve issues;
  • supporting operations by monitoring production quality, performance, and maintenance problems and participating in necessary corrections; and,
  • assisting in maintaining the product model.

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent;
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred;
  • strong mechanical awareness and the ability to work comfortably around mechanical equipment; and,
  • the ability to develop digital tools.
