Job Description

The Opportunity

Veolia has created a new Process Engineer position within its Bendigo operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will provide dedicated onsite process engineering support across advanced drinking water treatment plants in the region.

This is an opportunity to work closely with plant operators, investigate real treatment challenges and influence how our facilities perform. You will combine technical analysis with practical problem solving, supporting day to day optimisation as well as plant improvements, upgrades and future capital planning.

Your recommendations will help maintain water quality, strengthen compliance and improve the efficiency and environmental performance of essential treatment operations.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and optimise drinking water treatment processes across the Bendigo region
  • Analyse operational, laboratory and monitoring data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot plant performance and water quality issues with plant operators
  • Lead process reviews and investigations and recommend practical process changes
  • Develop and implement process control approaches to improve plant performance
  • Contribute to plant upgrades, capital planning and strategic goals for the operations
  • Prepare process performance, client and operational reports
  • Support audits, compliance monitoring and quality management activities
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders

  • A tertiary engineering degree

This is an on site position with flexibility based in the Bendigo region and involves travel between Veolia sites.
