Job Responsibilities:
Develop and validate the sewing process flow for new seat cover models.
Define work instructions, operation sheets, and process documentation.
Determine and optimize cycle times, line balancing, and workstation ergonomics including design and validation of tooling, sewing fixtures, and templates.
Support prototype and pre-series builds in collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure process feasibility, and ramp-up transition to ensure the mass production.
Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, scrap rate, cycle time) and analyze the gaps.
Consider measures to prevent losses and errors, take actions to reduce and eliminate losses.
Conduct time and motion studies to reduce non-value-added activities.
Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with process control plans & PFMEA.
Validate process changes and ensure proper documentation (PFMEA, control plans, work instructions).
Report key process indicators to management and propose improvement actions.
Take different duties and responsibilities given by the manager when necessary in the department or organization, participate in projects, make suggestions or produce solutions.
Required Profile:
Strong technical knowledge of industrial sewing machines, threads, and materials.
Familiarity with quality systems and root-cause analysis methods.
Good communication and leadership skills to drive change on the shop floor.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-focused.
Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
Familiarity with automotive standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, PFMEA).
Engineer or Bac +5 profile with solid experience in automotive industry (COVER SEWING & CUTTING).
2 years min in a similar position.
