Job Description

Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to drive operational efficiency, enhance product quality, and ensure compliance with industry standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.

CORE FUNCTIONS.

Activities:

• Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Develop process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.
• Coordinate process validation activities, including Run@Rate, PPAP, and related requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Design Engineering, to resolve technical issues and drive process improvements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
• Train and support production personnel on new processes, procedures, and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or electronics industry.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, engineering, and administrative functions.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.

Competencies:

• Assertive communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies, including Kaizen.
• Knowledge of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving tools, including PDCA.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Individual contributor; no direct supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED TRAININGS.

• Six Sigma.
• Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• ISO 2768.
• Lean Manufacturing.
• Problem Solving Methodologies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.

Physical Activities:

• Ability to work extended periods at a computer workstation.

Visual Acuity:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review technical documentation accurately.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily sedentary office-based work with occasional plant floor walks and site visits.
