Job Title: Process Design Engineer (UAE National – Fresh Graduate)

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Industry: Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy

Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic UAE National Fresh Graduate to join our Process Engineering team. The successful candidate will support the design and development of process engineering deliverables for oil & gas, petrochemical, and energy projects under the guidance of senior engineers.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering design, process simulations, and project execution within a leading engineering consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing process engineering deliverables such as:
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Process Design Basis documents
    • Equipment and line sizing calculations
    • Utility consumption calculations
  • Support process simulation activities using engineering software.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and technical workshops.
  • Assist in developing process datasheets for equipment and instruments.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Civil departments.
  • Review vendor documents and technical submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, international standards, and company procedures.
  • Support project execution activities and technical documentation management.
  • Participate in site visits and field surveys when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • UAE National (Family Book required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Knowledge of oil & gas production and processing fundamentals is preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as:
    • Aspen HYSYS (preferred)
    • Aspen Plus
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

  • Willingness to learn and develop within the engineering consultancy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to project success.
