We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize manufacturing processes, support new equipment launches, and play a key role in delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
• Analyze manufacturing performance by comparing established process standards (labor hours, machine cycle times, etc.) against actual production results, and recommend process improvements with measurable timelines to the Process Engineering Manager.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, process optimization, and material utilization.
• Review and analyze SPC data, FMEAs, DOE studies, and process parameters to drive process capability and operational excellence.
• Develop and implement error-proofing and mistake-proofing solutions to improve product quality and prevent defects.
• Escalate incapable processes or product concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Support the launch and implementation of new production equipment through PSO, including coordination of APQP and PPAP activities.
• Prepare capital expenditure justifications for new equipment and process improvement initiatives.
• Investigate and implement innovative production methods to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for vendors and external suppliers.
• Prepare and present regular updates on process capability and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including work-cell layout design, KCC/KPC selection, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Lead 8D problem-solving activities related to process and capability non-conformances, ensuring effective corrective actions and customer communication where required.
• Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for process modifications and maintain accurate process-related documentation.
• Assist in developing and delivering training programs for assembly personnel on new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for process equipment.
• Ensure successful implementation and stabilization of new production processes until capability targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update all process documentation, including operator instructions, process specifications, flow charts, control plans, machine setup instructions, PFMEAs, and standardized work procedures.
• Coordinate sourcing and replacement of tooling, testing equipment, fixtures, and prototypes in collaboration with Project Engineering.
• Participate in DFA/DFM reviews to support manufacturability and product optimization.
• Communicate quality, process, and product-related updates to plant personnel through visual management and information boards.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental standards, including SDS documentation requirements.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within automotive plastics or injection molding environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient computer literacy and experience with manufacturing-related systems.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and their application in manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of injection molding processes and tooling systems.
• Familiarity with fixturing, assembly equipment, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of assembly methods and lean manufacturing principles.
• Understanding of Quality and Environmental Management Systems related to manufacturing operations.
• Ability to interpret and maintain technical documentation accurately.
