Process Engineer
Contract Duration/Type: Permanent
Location: Kilkenny
Hybrid/Onsite: Hybrid
Working Pattern (Time/Hours): Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 17:30pm
of the role:
The Process Engineer will work across multiple teams such as M&E, Design, Clients and Consultants
Day to day of the role:
Working across water and wastewater systems
Act as Veolia process expertise and client liaison for water and wastewater treatment processes
Provide process support and troubleshooting expertise to clients as required
Identify, evaluate and apply new technologies and solutions where applicable in the identification of opportunities and to provide differentiation in the marketplace. This will involve review of and familiarisation with internal Veolia products and the wider industry
Carry out concept designs and evaluation of different treatment processes
Complete detailed process design on live projects as necessary
Provide process support to Veolia operational sites in the identification and implementation of operational efficiency projects
Work within the overall design team incorporating process, mechanical, electrical, automation and civil disciplines
Managing relationships with external suppliers and clients
Conducting site surveys
Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements training
Required skills for this role:
3rd level degree in Process or Environmental Engineering or equivalent appropriate qualification
3+ years’ experience within a similar role
Broad knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes
Ability to carry out process design and sizing of process elements
Demonstrated capability with mathematical tools
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Communication skills
