We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to support the design and development of oil and gas facilities. The candidate will be responsible for related engineering activities across all project phases, from concept and FEED to detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review process deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, Process datasheets, Calculation Reports, heat and material balances.
Perform steady state and transient process simulations and calculations using appropriate software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
Perform optimization and debottlenecking studies
Perform flow assurance studies and calculations using appropriate software (e.g., HYSYS, Olga, …).
Define process design basis, philosophies, and specifications.
Size and specify process equipment (separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, etc.).
Support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and other safety studies.
Manage and implement Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring that all design changes are properly assessed, documented, approved, and communicated.
Evaluate the impact of changes on safety, design integrity, cost, and schedule.
Interface with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical).
Participate in technical meetings with clients and vendors.
Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Support procurement and construction phases, including technical clarifications.
Support Commissioning and Start-up team activities
Ensure adherence to international codes, standards, and company procedures.
Develop comprehensive Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages by gathering inputs from all relevant disciplines, ensuring readiness for the launch of bid tenders
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas projects, with focus on Upstream Facilities (onshore).
Strong knowledge of process design and simulation tools.
Familiarity with international standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
Experience in HAZOP and safety studies.
Experience with MOC (Management of Change) procedures and tools.
Good communication and teamwork skills (both as lead figure and as specialist figure under the guidance of a process lead).
Knowledge of project execution phases and corresponding required level of detail
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in FEED and detailed engineering projects.
Knowledge of midstream/downstream processes.
Previous experience working with EPC contractors.
Familiarity with National Standards (ARH, etc.).
Work Environment:
Office-based with possible site visits.
International and multidisciplinary environment.
