Key Duties
1. Lead, coordinate and implement CAPEX investments, equipment installations & process improvement projects for CPS Japan Moriyama Plant. Scope includes hands-on site acceptance tests, commissioning, installation qualififcation, operational qualification and performance reviews.
2. Review and improve the manufacturing processes to ensure effective and efficient practices are executed. Recommend, innovate and implement revised methods and processes in the plant.
3. Trouble-shoot and resolve technical problems for all manufacturing work centers and plant facilities.
4. Provide Engineering support to all other functions in the plant.
Qualifications / Competencies
Proficieny in English / Japanese
Project management skills including planning and organizing
Influencing skills
Ability to identify problems, root cause and preventative measures
Strong knowledge of PIDs, pipefitting, electrical, controls, pumps, mixers, compressors, welding, general building repair
Willingness to take ownership in maintaining facilities and pride in results of work
Team oriented, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
Related Experience Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years relevant experience is essential (project execution, equipment installation commissioning and validation), preferably in a food manufacturing industry
Demonstrate experience of delivering enhancements to systems is required
Ease of written and oral expression in English
Willing to take challenges, show confidence in ambiguous situations
