Responsibilities of Role:
Responsibilities of Process l engineer are the following – but not limited to:
• Work as an onsite Process Engineer in a process plant environment
• Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to process engineering for industrial plants.
• Define the scope of work discussing with customer, coordinate with the offshore team if required and deliver the engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design.
• Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design and technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
• Information collection from plant
• Attend design reviews along with customer and the construction team and get the necessary approvals.
• Support in construction, IQ, OQ and start up activities.
• Support start-up activities as needed.
Skills Required:
• Should have worked as a Process Engineer for industrial plants (Chemical, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Fine chemicals, Specialty chemicals, Food & Beverages)
• Ability to prepare and understand PFD, P&IDs, mass & energy balance calculation, hydraulic calculations without any supervision
• Understand basic chemical engineering fundamentals like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid handling, mass transfer etc.
• Should be able to specify process plant equipment and hands on experience in selection of equipment as per project requirement
• Should be able to specify pump, heat exchanger, tank and other equipment independently
• Experience in design of utility systems of chemical process industries.
• Experience in sizing and selection of safety devices and process safety management activities
• Conversant with AutoCAD and MS office application is a plus.
• Familiarity with AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow and any other hydraulic calculation software will be added advantage
Physical Requirement:
o Must be able to climb flights of stairs and remain standing for at least 2 hours
o If needed - must be able to lift up to 25 lb
o Ability to thrive in dynamic team environment with diverse perspective
Top 3 Must have Skill Sets:
• Able to prepare PFD, P&IDs, mass & energy balance calculation, hydraulic calculations without any supervision.
• Able to specify pump, heat exchanger, tank and other equipment independently.
• Familiar with Safety device requirements, sizing and selection.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Same as Responsibilities of Role mentioned in Job description.
Red Flags (Things you don’t want to see on a resume):
• Plant operation experience (Some plant experience is OK. But, some engineering experience is required.)
• Quality laboratory experience
• Experience more than 20 years.
