Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Ensure Operational Excellence and Process Optimization by providing daily technical support, leading on-field problem solving, and driving continuous improvement projects.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve excellence in Safety, Quality, and Reliability management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide daily technical support to the operations team. Manage the production SOP and assist in preparing related documentation to ensure sufficient information is available for daily workshop operations.
  • Follow up day-to-day operation issues. Lead daily on field problem solving and investigate quality complaints related to process issues, to improve the operation safety, quality, equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead process optimization projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Maintain and enhance the SOP system to standardize operational processes and provide relevant training to technicians. Ensure that the production team adheres to production SOPs. Lead projects to monitor and correct deviations in field processes compared to SOPs.
  • Be responsible for production line KPIs including Final Prime, Raw Material Efficiency, OEE, Energy efficiency and customer complaint and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to enhance workshop HSE performance through process and engineering improvements, with a particular focus on process safety. Lead and ensure that MOC is implemented in accordance with company requirements. Oversee and conduct process hazard analysis for operation facilities.
  • Lead project to improve quality consistency and process capability by pFMEA, Minitab related tools.
  • Work together with production scheduler to optimize production schedule from operation and process aspect.
  • Work together with maintenance team to improve the machine reliability to maximize production lines efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records and production statistics. Maintain operations documentation and database.
  • Cooperate with PT and operation team for new RM and new product introduction.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  • Education Background:
    • Bachelor or above degree in Macromolecular Materials, Chemical or Engineering
  • Technical Skills:
    • Technical understanding of polymers related process and equipment
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to lead RCA/PHA initiatives.
    • Familiar with P&ID, PFMEA, Statistic tools and Minitab
    • Familiar with DCS batch setup and maintenance
    • Good communications in English and Chinese
  • Other Experiences Preferred:
    • At least 3 years of field working experiences with equipment knowledge in fine chemical, macromolecule chemical or polymerization industry
    • Experience in process improvement is preferred
    • Engineering experience is preferred
    • 6 sigma and LEAN manufacturing knowledge is preferred
