Position Type: Full TimeJOB SUMMARY: The Process Engineer analyzes, investigates, and examines processes throughout manufacturing to reduce defects and facilitate continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES:
1. Investigates, examines and recommends new equipment, technology, and methods to reduce waste, defects and improve productivity. 2. Investigates quality and production problems to determine root causes. Analyzes data and uses advanced problem solving techniques to recommend and implement solutions.
3. Analyzes quality and production data to determine process capabilities, trends, drifts, and shifts. Recommends solutions and implements controls to reduce variation.
4. Initiates preventative actions to prevent quality problems before they occur.
5. Establishes work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capabilities of machines and equipment.
6. Has the authority to stop or modify work process on non-conforming product or services per Quality ManualManagement Responsibility and Authority.
7. Provide employee training and compliance with company safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements and OSHA requirements.
8. Responsible for hazardous waste management in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Attend company provided annual Haz-Com and Haz-Waste Training.
9. Conducts internal audits (quality-related and 5s) as directed by the Quality Manager.
10. Completes quality and improvement projects as directed by the Quality Manager.
11. The Process Engineer is required to adhere to, and assist in enforcing Solamatrix safety guidelines.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Process Engineer also provides support to the chemical mixing area including responsibility for specifying materials, methods, and assists in the training of personnel. The Process Engineer also works on the special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager in support of quality, safety, and improvement goals at Madico Window Films.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (QMS/EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate, or assist, in identifying how the work that you do that affects the quality, or impacts the environmental aspects of the products or services we provide to customer(s)

- Provide input and verify that documented procedures are adequate and accurate

- Understand our quality and environmental policies and how they apply to you
- Keep records and data
- Participate in internal audits
- Participate in ongoing process improvement
- Participate in external registration and surveillance audits
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and three to five-years related experience and/or training. Other engineering disciplines may be considered with satisfactory film manufacturing experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Trained in Hazard Communications and Hazardous Material Operations Level
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: (Examples: list different types of office equipment, software, mainframe computer, PC, etc.)
- Ability to work with Blueprints and Schematics
- Work with various computer programs
