Join allnex as Process Engineer in Rayong, Thailand and this is a key technical contributor responsible for driving safe, reliable, and high-performance manufacturing operations. Positioned at the heart of production, this role offers the opportunity to apply engineering expertise to optimize batch processes, enhance process control performance, and deliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost.

The Process Engineer provides hands-on production support, strengthens DCS-based automation and control systems, and collaborates cross-functionally to improve process stability, safety, and operational excellence. With strong exposure to process optimization, automation, continuous improvement, and project execution, this is a highly visible role that enables meaningful impact on plant performance while offering solid professional growth within a technically driven manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Process Engineering & Production Support

  • Provide real-time engineering support to Production for process troubleshooting, deviation investigation, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance data to improve yield, product quality, throughput, and process stability.
  • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability of batch manufacturing operations.

Process Control & DCS

  • Maintain, optimize, and support DCS/PLC-based process control systems, including batch recipes, control logic, automation strategies, and alarm management.
  • Support control system modifications and improvements to ensure consistent and safe plant operation.
  • Collaborate with Production and Automation teams to improve process control performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and data-driven methodologies.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in production efficiency, cost, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Participate in digitalization initiatives related to process data analysis and performance monitoring.

Project & CAPEX Support

  • Support or lead process-related CAPEX and improvement projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Prepare technical documentation including process scopes, PFDs, P&IDs, and operating philosophies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors during project execution.

Process Safety & Compliance

  • Participate in Process Safety Management activities including HAZOP, PHA, MOC, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure process changes comply with internal engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety policies.
  • Support environmental and compliance documentation when required.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide technical guidance and training to operators and junior engineers on process fundamentals, control logic, and best practices.
  • Support knowledge transfer and standardization of process documentation.

Required skills and experience

  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar engineering role within chemical, petrochemical, or batch manufacturing environments.
  • Strong experience in production process support and process improvement.
  • Hands-on exposure to DCS / PLC systems, batch automation, and process control principles.
  • Proven ability to analyze process data and apply structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Solid understanding of process safety management practices (e.g. HAZOP, MOC, PHA).
  • Experience supporting or executing engineering projects in an operating plant environment.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) with the ability to communicate effectively across functions.
  • Good communication and influecing skills.
  • Solid cross-functional collaboration to build strong working relationships and fosters trust.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, safety first mindset and process safety awareness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) is an advantage.
  • Energy management or automation-related certifications are a plus.
