Position: Process Engineer

Location: Durban, South Africa

Industry: Water & Wastewater Management

Specialising in water and wastewater treatment for municipalities and industries, seeking an engineer who thrives in a versatile, team-oriented environment and is eager to grow

Requirements

• BSc in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years experience in water and wastewater treatment
• Proficiency with standard engineering software and tools
• Valid passport and readiness to travel for projects

Core responsibilities include:

• Identifying markets, clients, and industry opportunities
• Evaluating tender requirements and coordinating submissions
• Leading technical and commercial discussions with clients
• Conducting on-site assessments and preparing detailed technical reports
• Designing customised treatment systems and developing project schedules
• Providing hands-on technical supervision during plant installation, commissioning, and operation
• Supporting R&D and pilot trials for new treatment technologies
• Creating technical marketing content and final project documentation

Applicants with the following experience will stand out:

• Technical sales and client interaction
• Hands-on industrial site exposure
• Design and operation of biological systems, membrane processes, and separations
• P&IDs, PFDs, process descriptions, and layout design
• Pump/mixer sizing, mass and energy balances, control philosophies, and HAZOP
