Your Role:

In this role you will create, evaluate and execute lab-scale experimental plans in support of large-scale manufacturing of competitive products. You will work closely with engineering colleagues to make critical decisions affecting the implementation and success of organic/inorganic chemical synthesis and purification.
  • Develop and refine chemical manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce raw material costs, and maximize isolated yields.
  • Design and execute laboratory experiments to optimize reaction conditions for both ongoing research and custom manufacturing.
  • Facilitate the seamless transition of developed technologies into qualification and full-scale production phases.
  • Utilize spectral and analytical data for structural elucidation and to interpret complex process outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the analytical development team to establish testing methods and specifications for intermediate and final products.
  • Maintain precise records, manage databases, and generate comprehensive technical reports on all research findings.
  • Conduct literature searches and apply scientific rationale to solve operational problems and explain unexpected experimental results.
  • Contribute to the quoting process and maintain proactive communication with customers to meet deadlines and productivity goals.


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Life Science or Engineering discipline.

OR
  • Master's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Life Science or Engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience in an industrial process development environment.

OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Life Science or Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in an industrial process development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with chemical analysis, chemical synthesis and safe chemical handling.
  • Experience with purification techniques (crystallization, distillation, chromatography).
  • Knowledge of spectral interpretation and mathematics.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical writing experience (experimental procedures, reports, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality standards.

Pay Range for this position: $85,700 - $137,900

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
