The Process Design Engineer – Specialty Operations Infrastructure will be a member of the Process Engineering team at Chevron ENGINE. This role performs hydraulic modeling, transient analysis, and water hammer studies to support Chevron’s Specialty Operations assets and infrastructure projects (brownfield and greenfield), with an emphasis on safe, reliable, and operable process designs. The position supports pipeline integrity, operational reliability, regulatory compliance, project development and asset optimization by developing hydraulic models, evaluating transient scenarios, assessing surge risks, and recommending practical mitigation solutions. The role also encompasses pressure relief system calculations, overpressure protection, and related process safety support.
Engineers will work closely with Operations, Pipeline Integrity, Projects/Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, and other discipline engineers to support facility designs, modifications, and ongoing operational needs. The Process Design Engineer (Pipeline Hydraulics) will interface directly with Chevron assets and project teams to provide technical ownership, evaluation support, and remote engineering assistance across the Specialty Operations Infrastructure portfolio.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
