Job Description

This role plays a central part in strengthening our risk posture and will support business areas in articulating, co-designing, and embedding robust, sustainable controls to manage key risks across customer complaints, sales conduct, customer vulnerability, credit management, and credit decisioning. The role will focus on creating clear key risk indicators (KRIs), enabling consistent management reporting and assurance over emerging and residual risks. This role will operate as a hands-on advisor, providing tailored guidance to assess current control environments and uplift both preventative and detective controls.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with business and risk leads to assess the current control environment.
  • Support co-design of sustainable and auditable controls aligned to key obligations.
  • Develop and define key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk reporting dashboards.
  • Ensure controls support both regulatory compliance and customer risk mitigation.
  • Provide expert input into the design of preventative and detective control strategies.
  • Collaborate across Line 1 and Line 2 to ensure alignment with existing risk frameworks.
  • Support uplift of risk maturity through coaching and development of artefacts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience in risk, assurance, or control roles within regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in control design, KRI development, and operational risk reporting.
  • Practical knowledge of regulatory enforcement programs and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Line 1 and Line 2 roles in enterprise risk management.
  • Experience in banking, telecommunications, or financial services highly regarded.
