Job Description

The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing automation solutions aimed at improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enhancing process quality across the organization. This role focuses on identifying automation opportunities, leveraging technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), workflow platforms, and AI-driven tools, and ensuring the scalability and sustainability of automated processes.

The Process Automation Specialist works for VW Bank (own company) as well as on behalf of VW Leasing, based on dedicated outsourcing agreements.

Role and duty – core business

  • Design, build, test and implement automation workflows using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, other UiPath components and Power Platform tools
  • Formalize technical and functional analysis in compliance with the automation standards and related best practices
  • Collaborate with business teams to analyze processes and assess the technical and economical automation feasibility
  • Develop reusable automation components and ensure adherence to automation best practices
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain RPA bots in UiPath Orchestrator
  • Manage tickets opened by business users related to existing automations
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing automations
  • Take care of existing automations deploying a continuous improvement approach
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards in all automation activities
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying new automation opportunities
  • Evaluate and monitor the technical capacity of the RPA infrastructure in order to grant a state of the art functionality
  • Collaborate with HQ Robotics Team in case of issues/requests concerning the RPA infrastructure
  • Ensure proper governance, security, and adherence to internal policies in all automation implementations
  • Develop and maintain business and technical dashboards aimed at monitoring purposes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business process management

Competences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven hands-on experience as an RPA Developer with UiPath Studio (1 - 2 years)
  • Proven knowledge of other UiPath components (Orchestrator, Robot, Insights, AI)
  • Proven knowledge of Power Platform suite, in particular Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI
  • UiPath certifications (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Professional, UiPath Certified Professional Specialized AI Professional) strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C#, .NET, Python, VB.NET, SQL
  • Strong understanding of process analysis, workflow design, and automation best practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Full proficiency of English in both written and oral form
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced SAS Knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to plan work
