The Process Automation Engineer – Quickbase will serve as a technical resource for Quickbase, while also supporting broader process automation, systems optimization, integrations, and business process improvement initiatives. Primary areas of support include design, development, and implementation of Quickbase solutions. These solutions encompass various areas of the business that will address complex challenges. Working closely with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders, the Process Automation Engineer – Quickbase will ensure that solutions follow all USAP architecture and enterprise technical standards. This role requires extensive knowledge and understanding of Quickbase architecture, software development practices, well-architected frameworks, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.

The base pay estimate for this role is $60,800-$103,400 annually. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

  • Designs and documents Quickbase solutions that adhere to the principles of a well-architected framework.
  • Collaborates with key business stakeholders on Quickbase solutions, translating requirements into technical solutions across multiple technologies.
  • Creates and maintains Quickbase architecture documentation including architectural diagrams, PDD, SDD, and runbooks.
  • Manages and maintains the Quickbase realm including apps, users, roles, pipelines, etc.
  • Optimizes app structure for scalability, maintainability, and usability.
  • Participates in full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Designs tables, relationships, fields, forms, reports, dashboards, and permissions.
  • Conducts Quickbase app, pipeline, formula, integration, and configuration reviews to ensure USAP governance and standards are being followed.
  • Enhances existing workflows, pipelines, formulas, code pages, and related configurations.
  • Designs, builds, configures, and tests Quickbase applications.
  • Works directly with the Enterprise Architect and Sr Automation Developer to ensure that overall enterprise architecture governance and guidance is being followed at the Quickbase development level.
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of technology trends and advancements helping ensure that USAP Quickbase development stays competitive and secure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field required (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing complex solutions in Quickbase, including pipelines and code pages.
  • Experience integrating Quickbase solutions with external systems using APIs, databases, and other technologies.
  • 3+ years working in a Microsoft Windows environment including Windows 10/11, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • 2+ years’ experience translating human processes into Quickbase solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile methodology and 2+ years’ experience working in a Scrum team setting.
  • Good understanding of programming fundamentals and concepts.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript within Quickbase.
  • Experience with Formula fields & Dynamic rules.
  • The ability to understand and translate business needs, aligning them to proper technical application solutions.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, authentication methods, and integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple business critical projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of core security and compliance principles in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and proficiently apply new technologies and platforms utilized by the team to support automation initiatives and process improvements.
