Job Description

WECU is seeking a Process Analyst to join our Project Management team in Bellingham, WA Responsible for providing business process management expertise in the evaluation, design, and improvement of business processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the strategic plan. Actively participates on project teams to analyze current processes, identify project requirements and improvement opportunities, design future processes, and evaluate impact to current roles. As WECU continues to grow and acquire new business, this role will be responsible for evaluating established processes and supporting post-integration alignment and improvements.

This is a hybrid role, with some on-site work requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Assess the role of technology and systems in business processes, understand process requirements, and recommend technology enhancements and automations to gain efficiency.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and process requirements to support technology initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Redesign current processes to solve process-related problems and support continuous improvement.
  • Gather and analyze data to evaluate process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate process monitoring and response plan development.
  • Utilize the principles of continuous improvement, lean and design thinking when designing/redesigning new processes.
  • Produce and maintain detailed process documentation, workflows, and support materials in accordance with defined governance standards.
  • Partner with Manager, Process Management to implement and assess the business process management structure and framework.
  • Facilitate process improvement and problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams. Support Manager, Process Management in high-level, end-to-end workshops.
  • Influence stakeholders through culture-aligned leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution practices.
  • Continuously reviews business process management workflows and internal customer requirements to identify and implement improvements. Problem solving with creativity and analytical reasoning.
  • Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Follows policy and procedures related to SARs by reporting suspicious activity to the Compliance department. Responsible for filling out an incident report for detected computer intrusion of Credit Union computer systems per Bank Secrecy Act. Completes mandatory BSA/AML annual training via online web course.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field desired. Related work experience may replace this requirement
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Business Analyst certification strongly desired.
  • 2 years of experience in business process management, continuous improvement, or project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Miro, Lucid or other process mapping software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technology and ability to communicate between IT and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across the credit union as a change agent to achieve results.
  • Strong team facilitation skills.
  • Ability to represent the credit union in a positive, professional manner in person, on the telephone and in written correspondence with staff, members and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality and security in sensitive areas.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement.

COMPENSATION:


The salary range for this position is from $75,024.73 to $105,917.27.
