Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, the OB technician is responsible for assisting in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area including the provision of patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit or within his/her department. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures, while maintaining the Augusta Health Service Standards. Call and weekend rotation required with 30-minute response time.
