Option 1
Completion of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university.*
Two (2) years of experience as a Supervising Probation Officer -OR- Probation Corrections Supervisor II.
Option 2Associates Degree or its equivalent in Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or closely related field of study.*
Four (4) years of experience as a Supervising Probation Officer -OR- Probation Corrections Supervisor II.
Option 3Graduation from a U.S. high School, G.E.D. or a U.S. Department of Education approved High School Equivalency Test - AND- San Bernardino County MLA or CPOC/MLA Training
Six (6) years of experience as a Supervising Probation Officer -OR- Probation Corrections Supervisor II.
Examination Procedure:
There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on the information provided in the Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire. You are encouraged to include detailed descriptions of your qualifying experience and skills, as only the most highly qualified applicants will be referred to the Department.
