Provide compelling and accurate written materials for development/fundraising purposes.
Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of the organization, its research, patient care programs, equipment, construction projects, and other needs, in order to inform and carry out effective fundraising efforts.
Research grant-making organizations in order to identify possible funding sources for specific projects and programs.
Compile, write and edit Development communications and grant applications, exhibiting strong expository writing skills and a high-level command of grammar and spelling.
Review project/program budgets and make recommendations in order to best present information to grant-making organizations.
Develop individual proposals in accordance with each grant-making organization's preferences and follow exactly each grant-making organization's guidelines; supply additional supportive material, as needed.
Collaborate with departmental teams to coordinate and submit required progress reports, program updates, and final reports to organizations that have funded a project or program.
Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience required
10 years of fundraising/development experience preferred
