Schedule: PRN: Every third weekend, Start time 7:30 am

Join Mercy’s compassionate team and play a meaningful role in a baby’s very first steps toward healthy development. As a Newborn Hearing Technician, you’ll support families during a special moment in their lives while ensuring each infant receives high‑quality, accurate hearing screening.

Position Details:

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct newborn hearing screening evaluations using established protocols
  • Gather essential case history and patient information
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and healthcare professionals
  • Deliver excellent customer service with empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other care team members
  • Uphold Mercy’s mission, values, and standards in every interaction

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent college credit
  • Experience: Prior patient care experience preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients’ families and healthcare professionals
  • Comfortable interacting with the public and committed to providing exceptional customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (healthcare-related fields preferred)
  • Experience: Previous hearing testing experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
