Acaregiver in this positionworksnightsfrom 5:30PM– 6:00AMAminimum of two weekends per month will berequired
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Patrolthe internal/external premises whilemaintaininga high degree of courtesy and good judgment in dealing with the public.
Monitor visitor conduct,ascertainlegitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons, controlparkingand trafficflowsand enforce parking regulations.
Maintain high tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrate the ability to deal with diverse social,ethnicand religious groups.
Communicate with the public in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain a working knowledge of traffic, parking, regulations,policiesand procedures.
Provide physical restraint against those who endanger caregivers,patientsand visitors.
Provide escort to personnel asappropriate
Apply restraining techniques, as required, tomaintainsafety and order within the hospital environment.
Report on safety,securityand/or fire hazards.
Recognize and make recommendations on safety violations and hazards.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire control warning systems,evacuationroutes and procedures.
Respond to requests forassistancefrom clinic personnel, patients, and visitors promptly.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
ValidDriver’sLicense (VDL) andmaintainrequirements for possession of a valid Florida driver's license
State of Florida Class DLicense
Good oral, written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills sufficient to document investigative activities
Ability tomaintaina prominent level of confidentiality
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Chauffeur license
Two years of experience
Military and/or hospital experience
Physical Requirements:
Essential Duties: Demonstrates ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking and/or operating a motor vehicle.
Physical Duties: Physical Duties: This position requires extensive walking, standing, and sitting. Frequent talking and listening when directing or investigating concerns/incidents.
Frequent use of the phone, computer, fax machine and company vehicles.
Working Conditions: The majority of the time the employee will spend commuting between and in the clinical buildings. Potential exposure to blood and blood borne pathogens is minimal while performing inquisitions and interviews. Exposure to chemicals during the course of an investigation may require the use of personal protective equipment
Personal Protective Equipment:
Proper attire and security accessories. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
