Be part of something new and impactful at Deaconess Health System! Our Satellite Emergency and Urgent Care location combines the convenience of urgent care with the capabilities of an emergency department, allowing patients to receive the right level of care in one location.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment designed to treat a wide range of conditions—from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies. This role is ideal for experienced emergency nurses seeking a flexible schedule while utilizing their clinical expertise, critical thinking, and strong assessment skills.

You will collaborate closely with providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for every patient encounter.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency and urgent care patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergent situations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to coordinate care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
• Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department (ED) experience
