Job Description

Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for 2 PRN Radiation Therapist to join our Team.

General Objectives:

  1. As a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases.
  2. Demonstrates general understanding of anatomy and physiology pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety and the psychosocial aspects of cancer toward the end.

Education:

  • Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification and maintaining certification.

Experience:

  • Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred.

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapy
  • Ability to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocols
  • Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical records
  • Experience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDR
  • Working knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.

SALARY RANGE

  • Base pay + PRN differential.
  • Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill set
