Are you looking for a rewarding healthcare role where you can make a lasting impact on patients and their families? As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our Surgery Oncology Unit, you'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing surgery and cancer treatment.

What You'll Do

Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on support that enhances patient comfort, safety, and recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
  • Supporting mobility, ambulation, repositioning, and transfers to promote healing and independence
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting observations to the care team
  • Accurately documenting patient information in medical records
  • Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families during important moments in their care journey

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within six months of hire
  • Successful completion of PCT classes as required by the care center/unit

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
